2025 Season Registration Guide
Introduction

In 2025 the VSCA SportsCar Championship enters its fourth season, starting with the fourth annual 24 Hours of Daytona in January and concluding with Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in October. In total there are twelve (12) races, consisting of eleven (11) championship rounds plus the non-points event "The Roar Before The 24" in early January.
The series consists of four different categories (classes): Grand Touring Prototypes (GTP), Le Mans Prototypes 2 (LMP2), Grand Touring Pro (GT PRO) and Grand Touring Amateur (GT AM).
Each class competes in 10 races total (9 championship rounds + "The Roar Before The 24").
The series puts premium importance on clean racing by having clean racing bonus points and very low iRacing incident limits in place for all its races and relatively high iRacing Safety Rating license requirements. Details on the exact requirements are part of the 2025 SportsCar Championship Regulations.
The series has no live race control (aside from handling FCY) and no live broadcast (as of October 2024).
Races take place on Saturdays with green flag usually at 1400 GMT or 1600 GMT. There are several free practice sessions available on the days before the race.
Registration for New Teams & New Entries opens on November 23rd, 2024 at 16:00 GMT. Some Teams who competed in the series last season have Entries eligible for Early Registration that opens on November 16, 2024 16:00 GMT (Returning Entries) and November 21, 2024 16:00 GMT (Changing Entries) respectively.
Registration during the 2025 Season is of course always possible, as well! With every championship round that has passed, the entry fee for new Entry Registrations becomes lower as per the Series Regulations. Entries that sit on the Reserve List are eligible for a partial refund for all races they missed on the Reserve List, until their promotion to the Series Grid or withdrawal.

If you are completely new to VSCA and you don't yet have a VSCA membership, the steps below outline what you need to do, to get yourself (and your Team, if you are a Team Manager) ready today, for when registration opens for the 2025 season.
Step 1: Become an official Member of VSCA
Before you can compete in or register for the VSCA SportsCar Championship, you must become an officially approved member of VSCA. You can register to apply for a VSCA membership here.

- You must have & maintain an active membership on the VSCA Discord Server using your full real name
- You must at least be 16 years old (previously the minimum age was 18 years)

Step 2: Join a Team or Register your Team
After you have completed your VSCA membership registration, you can immediately login into the VSCA Paddock with your new account.
Once your VSCA membership application has been reviewed by the Organizers (usually within 1-3 days), your membership status in the VSCA Paddock will change from "Pending Approval" to "Free Agent". At that point, you can join a Team or in if you are owner/manager of your Team, you can register your Team inside the VSCA Paddock.
Being part of a Team one way or another is required in order to be licensed for the SportsCar Championship. A Team is also required to be registered, before the Team Manager or Assistant Manager can register an Entry for the 2025 season (see step 3). The sooner the Team Manager registers the Team with VSCA, the better. At minimum, please give VSCA 48 hours to process the Team registration.
Important: Inside VSCA the word "Team" means the organization you're part of. This is different from "Team" as iRacing defines it. What iRacing calls "Teams" in the iRacing UI, VSCA calls "Entries". Each VSCA SportsCar Championship Entry must have its unique iRacing Team ID which must stay the same throughout the entire season.
If you want to register your own team as Team Manager, you must meet the following additional requirements listed below.
Requirements for Team Managers/Assistant Managers
- You must be at least 21 years old
- You must be owner the Team or you must be authorized to represent the Team you are about to register
- You must actively manage the Team inside VSCA and serve as point of contact between VSCA and your Team

- You must ensure that all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters register for a VSCA membership
- After they registered and were approved by VSCA, you must add all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters to your Team in the VSCA Paddock
- After you added all your Drivers, Crew Chiefs & Spotters to your Team in the VSCA Paddock, you must ensure they all complete the 2025 SportsCar Championship Licensing Process (see step 4).
Step 3: Register your Entry/Entries for the 2025 Season (Team Managers only)
Registering an Entry for a Team is done by the Team Manager or Assistant Manager after Entry registration opens for the 2025 season.
Grid spots are awarded to Entries that meet the following requirements first:
- Entry must be approved
- Entry Fee must be paid in full
- Car Design (and spec map) of Entry must be approved
- The Team must have a positive account balance in the VMS
Any Entries that meet these requirements after all grid spots in the Entry's respective class were taken already, will be added to the Reserve List and will be eligible for a full Entry Fee refund. Alternatively, the Team can decide to keep the Entry on the Reserve List until it is promoted to the Series Grid. Every Entry on the Reserve List gets a chance to race, sooner or later. In that scenario, the Team is eligible for partial refund for every race that the Entry missed while being on the Reserve List until its promotion to the Series Grid.
Entry Registration for the 2025 season will open at three separate dates depending on specific criteria.
